Watch out for this decadent recipe! I’m taking advantage of this sunny afternoon to share with you this recipe for white chocolate and M&M’s milkshake (because it’s not certain that we’ll have much more sunshine in the next few days).

White chocolate milkshake base
Milkshakes are quick, easy and so good that I wonder why I don’t make them more often! Because it’s simply a mixture of ice cream and milk blended in a blender (and you can even add toppings). It’s super refreshing, but also quite nourishing for a good Sunday afternoon snack.
During my turbine trials, I’d made a white chocolate ice cream (for which I haven’t given you the recipe, by the way), and I wanted to make a change from the plain old ice cream. So I decided to use this base (which is a little killer in both custard and ice cream, by the way) to make a white chocolate milkshake. I made life difficult for myself by making the ice cream myself, but you can of course use any store-bought ice cream (and skip to step 2 of the recipe).
I won’t go on and on about how to make it, because it’s so simple: for one person, you mix half a liter of ice cream with a large glass of milk and blend it all together (I warned you it was nutritious!). And if, like me, you decide to make your own ice cream, I refer you to the custard recipe for all the details, and to the after-eight cake recipe for the whipped cream.

Milkshake chocolat blanc et M&M's
Ingredients
Glace au chocolat blanc
- 500 mL de lait entier
- 5 jaunes d’œufs
- 10 g de sucre
- 1 cuillère à café d'extrait de vanille
- 125 g de chocolat blanc
Milkshake au chocolat blanc
- ½ L de glace chocolat blanc
- 1 verre de lait
- 1 grosse poignée de M&M's
- 10 cL de crème liquide à 30% bien froide
Instructions
Glace au chocolat blanc
- La veille, concasser le chocolat blanc en petits morceaux et réaliser la crème anglaise. A la sortie du feu, verser la crème chaude sur le chocolat et mélanger jusqu'à ce que le mélange soit bien homogène. Filmer au contact et laisser refroidir.
- Lorsque la crème est bien froide, réaliser la glace à l'aide d'une sorbetière ou d'une turbine.
Milkshake au chocolat blanc
- Dans la cuve du blender, mixer la poignée de M&M's.
- Ajouter la glace et le lait. Mixer jusqu'à ce que le mélange soit bien homogène. Verser dans un verre à cocktail.
- Monter la crème liquide en chantilly. La mettre dans une poche à douille et pocher sur le dessus du verre. Parsemer d'éclats de M&M's.
